FlyQuest is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Huntsville, Alabama and the buzz about our aerospace education programs for young people has created the need to find qualified pilots and aviation enthusiasts to help coordinate or teach various aviation programs so we can continue to expand!
How can you help?
Teach a segment of our Aviation Fundamentals program: air traffic control, aircraft maintenance, pilot fundamentals, airport operations! Coursework is already developed and each segment is just one-day of your time!
Teach students to fly, using computer-based flight simulator programs.
Instruct students and other pilots, using FlyQuest’s 6 Degrees of Freedom flight simulator, the only one available in North Alabama! The unique hardware can be configured for 25 single engine and 10 multi-engine aircraft and includes a full metal cockpit enclosure, dynamic control loading, modern avionics and a 225 degree visual system!
Coordinate students attending the One-Day Aviation Overview or Field Trips events. No aviation experience required, but we’d love to have you put your organizational skills to use to help us reach more students!
Volunteer for the annual FlyQuest Women in Aviation Fly-In, held the first weekend of March at Madison Executive Airport. We need help with seminar setups, cooking/grilling, food prep, flight-line supervision, door prize drawings, and much, much more! It’s an opportunity to share the joy of flight with the public. Last year over 150 attended!!
